  • The club is holding a Hunters Education class on September 8th, 8am to 5pm. The class is free but we would like all participants to pre register. Click here to preregister on the Ohio Division of Wildlife website.
    Lunch will be provided for each participant and you will receive your Hunters Education card at the completion of the course.

Learn More About Us

Founded in 1919 as the Western Reserve Fish and Game Preservation Agency. In the 1960's we joined the Trumbull County Federation of Sportsmen. We are a sportsmen club with interest in hunting, fishing and gun safety. We offer many activities and resources including CCW classes, hunter education classes and an award winning civilian marksmanship program.

Meetings are held the second tuesday of evey month at 7:00.

Interested in Membership?
Dues for the first year are $75.00 plus 10 work hours.
Second and third years dues are $65.00 plus 6 work hours.
After that dues are $35.00 plus 6 work hours.
Members have full use of our outdoor ranges, sunrise to sunset Monday thru Saturday, Sunday noon to sunset.
If you would like to become a member, just complete an application and bring it to the next meeting at 6:30 and talk to Rick Allred.

Our Activities

We have many activities to suit everyones interests.

Outdoor Rifle Range

100 yard range with covered shooting benches. The range is open to all members sunrise to sunset Monday thru Saturday, Sunday noon to sunset. After you enter, lock the gate behind you. No alchohol permitted.

Outdoor Pistol Range

10 yard outdoor pistol range with covered benches. The range is open to all members sunrise to sunset Monday thru Saturday, Sunday noon to sunset. After you enter, lock the gate behind you. No alchohol permitted.

Indoor Range

10 yard indoor range. Lead or copper washed ammo only on the indoor range. See the event calendar for hours and special events. $2.00 Members $6.00 Non-members

Military Shoot

Military shoots are the 3rd Saturday of every month. Shooting starts at 10am. $5.00 entry fee for shooters.

Civilian Marksmanship Program

Our Junior Rifle Team team is open to any student from a school that does not have a competitive shooting team and is between the ages of 10 and 18. Stop by on Monday's from 4:00pm - 8:00pm to get info on our program.

CCW Classes

See the event calendar for he next scheduled class. Indoor range and comfortable clasroom Sesions held Saturday from 8:00 to 4:00. Firearms, ammunition, materials included. Refrehments and light lunch proided. Preregistration required. Cost is $60.00 per person. Deposit due at registration. Contact us at shooting@wrfg.us or call Dan Padula at (330) 553-1916

Fundamentals of Olympic Style Archery for Youth

Free Program
We supply bows, arrows, safety equipment, and coaching on our indoor range.
Tuesdays 5:00 - 7:00
Provided by a Wildlife Conservation Club Competetive Partnership Grant from the ODNR.

Cowboy Action Shooting

From November through April we are joined by The Shenango River Rats on the second Saturday and the last Thursday of each month.

We are a SASS affiliated group who are dedicated to good clean family fun, and making the sport of Cowboy Action Shooting accessible to anyone and everyone. Our number one objective is to keep it safe and keep it FUN!

Registration is at 9am. First lead down range at 10. There are 5 shooting stages. You will need at least 50 rounds each of pistol and rifle ammo plus 25 shot shells. Bring extra rounds for re-loads and bonuses. Hope to see you there.
